Where to use - Office Lighting
Drawing Office
Lighting for technical areas is critical to minimise costly or potentially dangerous errors. Although drawing boards are becoming less common some offices do still use them. In such cases the lighting should provide adequate light levels over a reasonable range of tilt angles of the board, and be positioned to minimise shadowing onto the board.
For CAD workstations chose luminaires suitable for offices using computer screens. When using indirect or direct/indirect luminaires take care to ensure that the ceiling is not too bright as this can produce images on the computer screen.
